Fill a one cup liquid measuring cup with water, and drop in a few ice cubes; set it aside.
In a large bowl whisk together flour and salt. Use box grater to shred butter into flour mixture.
Use a pastry blender to cut the butter into the flour.
Start by drizzling 1/4 cup of the ice-cold water into the mixture. Using a rubber spatula, gather the dough together. YouÂ’ll probably need an additional 2 tbsp of cold water to bring it together, but add it a tablespoon as a time. Use your hands once the dough is starting to come together. Bring it all together into a ball.
Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate it for 1 hour before rolling out.
