Buttermilk Pancakes
Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 egg
- 1 1/4 cups buttermilk
- 1/4 cup white sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/4 tsp salt
Directions
- Pre-heat griddle to 350 degrees.
- Mix all dry ingredients together.
- Melt butter in small sauce pan.
- In separate bowl, combine egg and buttermilk.
- Once the butter has melted, slowing add the buttermilk and egg to the melted butter, whisking as you go.
- Add buttermilk, egg, and butter back into the original bowl and add the dry ingredients to the top. Mix until smooth.
- Ladle 1/4 cup of batter at a time. Cooking each side until golden brown.
